GrammarBook.com is my go-to website for grammar questions. If
I don’t have a good grasp on a specific concept, I go to this website to learn more. This
week, I was struggling to understand how to correct dangling modifiers and this
website helped me. This website was created by Jane Straus, who also wrote “The
Blue Book of Grammar and Punctuation.” This is the book I have chosen to read this semester and I would recommend it to anyone. You can also sign up for free newsletters
that give grammar tips each week. This website has many free quizzes that involve all of
the items we are learning in class. Remember,
practice makes perfect!
I always visit Purdue University’s Online Writing Lab for
academic writing. If I ever have questions on what needs to be in an essay or
how to format it, I like to visit Purdue’s OWL. I also turn to this website for
questions I have on APA and MLA writing. When I forget how to cite sources,
which is every time I write a paper, I visit this OWL to refresh my memory.
The grammar mistake I found this week was in “Harry Potter
and the Prisoner of Azkaban.” I didn’t read these books when I was younger, so
I am reading them now. Snape’s name was spelled as “Snap.”

I have used the Purdue website in the past. I am not a huge fan of the website. I would advise you to give up on MLA writing style. Most of my professors demand AP style. I love the error you found. In general authors don't always or have to follow all the grammar rules as long as their story reads well and is interesting. I think it is funny that you found a misspelled character's name.
