Grammar bytes - Robert Stewart

I severely dislike grammar at times. While practicing perfect grammar it can really test my patience. Grammar is something that they pretend taught us growing up. For God sake we went to school for 13 years, and now we're all in college. How in the hell do we not have perfect grammar by now? Grammar is something that is so complex, yet we make it so difficult.
For instance, I use the website http://www.chompchomp.com/menu.htm which is called "Grammar Bytes" whenever I have a question on grammar. In this website they really find a way to explain the basic grammar steps that can be easily mess up. One that I constantly screw up is Who/Whom. Jean Norman, a professor in the Comm department and the head of the Signpost mentioned how she thinks the who/whom rule will completely go away because it is so commonly confused and doesn't make that much of a difference. Although Who/whom can be used incorrectly it doesn't change a sentence like there/their/they're or than/then. With that being said I've learned when to use who and when to use whom. It's the he/him rule.
In my grammar error this week this poor person on Facebook confused the since/sense words. This error bugs me so bad. Sense is a completely different word than Since and when people mess it up, it pains me.

  1. I don't know how I haven't ever used Chomp Chomp. I looked over it and like the setup and information taught on the website. The sense of the car is very important to many buyers. I always determine my purchases by the sense of the item.

  2. That is a great website! I have tried it a few times and I love it. That website explains things simply. It can be used by anyone because it explains things so well.
