Introduction

Hello everyone, I'm Jennifer and I am a little late to the game, but here I am. I am a professional and technical writing major and a communication minor. I'm graduating in December (yikes!) and I want to go to graduate school in Denmark because I have a Danish significant other. I am kind of obsessed with Europe and Scandinavia, so I really hope it works out. My middle name is Solvieg (and I love it) because my family has prominent Norwegian heritage, so I really feel like a Scandi life is in my destiny somehow.

I currently work here at Weber State as a marketing intern for University Communications and the assistant copy desk chief for The Signpost. This doesn't mean I'm a grammar expert, clearly, but I do my best. I love to read, I've read a huge amount of novels this year and I am very pleased about that. One I particularly loved was "The First Bad Man" by Miranda July-- I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys weird yet emotional and thought-provoking literature. Other favorites include, "Atonement" by Ian McEwan, anything of Gillian Flynn's, The Millenium Trilogy, "Dracula," "The Phantom of the Opera," and of course Harry Potter.

I'm addicted to coffee and tea and I also really love cats. I have two of them and we get along well because of our shared brooding and introverted personalities. I also love music, I used to sing and play the violin and I hope to pick both back up one day if I ever get the time. I have a little sister who is 12 and she is my best friend. I think it's awesome to have a sibling so much younger than myself to see grow up. Writing has always been one of my greatest passions and it's still a dream of mine to publish a bestseller one day, but we'll see. I really hope to have a job in marketing and PR writing at some point, but I would also love to work in the editorial field
