Web Page Layout and Design

With all of the technology present in our lives, looking at websites is unavoidable. I liked looking at different websites this week and learning about what works and what doesn't work. I found a few good examples from the homework assignment.

Social Services.
Social media is impossible to ignore these days. A major source of traffic is developed by social networks. We want users to be interactive on social media sites, so we can’t let them have any excuses not to connect. This website is filled with ways to connect. This blogger has multiple platforms where she posts. You can look at this site and see every other way to connect.

Strive for Simplicity.
The KISS principle is something I have always loved (keep it simple stupid). Users don’t usually go to a website to enjoy the design. They go for information. The simpler a website is, the easier it will be for users to find the information they need. This website is very simple and clean. You can shop what you want by click on a tab or using the search bar. Once you have added something to you cart, you can see how much money it will cost on any page of the website.

Editing Mistake.
This week's mistake was made by my cousin. We were visiting the other day and he said, "I seen it walk across the street." I asked him if he knew what he just said was incorrect. He said no and I laughed.
